Samsung Galaxy S6 to drop all TouchWiz bloatware?

Software has never been Samsung's strong suit and the company has been criticised time and again for bloating the user experience with too many apps.

That will reportedly change on the Samsung Galaxy S6 though, with the dropping all of the Korean firm's bloatware apps.

According to SamMobile, a trusted source on all things Sammy, an insider has said the company will be dropping all of the pre-installed Samsung apps we've become accustomed to on flagship devices.

The source neglected to reveal what apps will be missing from the Galaxy S6, but the ones that don't make the cut will still be available in the Galaxy Apps store if your phone is looking a bit empty.

No more bloatware

We're expecting to see the things like S Voice, My Galaxy, ChatOn, Samsung Hub and Scrapbook to no longer be pre-loaded on the new flagship.

The source claims Samsung's reportedly not dropping pre-loaded software all together, but it'll be coming from Microsoft instead.

The likes of Microsoft OneNote, OneDrive, Skype and Office Mobile (alongside a free Office 365 subscription) will instead be included.

It is thought the move to include Microsoft apps comes from a deal the two companies made after a patent royalty case was settled in October 2014.

Windows Phone is currently struggling to impact the phone market as much as Microsoft would like so it is instead focusing on the software market. Putting its own apps inside of one of the biggest handsets of the year will be a major coup for Microsoft.

Samsung's TouchWiz software for the Galaxy S6 will also reportedly integrate animations and effects from Android Lollipop to give it a more stock feel.
