Samsung Galaxy S6 is the best phone in the world

The first raft of flagships for 2015 have been put through their paces in TechRadar's gruelling review process and we can now announce which one has come out on top.

Congratulations to the Samsung Galaxy S6.

It's beaten off tough competition from the beautiful HTC One M9 and futuristic Galaxy S6 Edge, while also keeping the likes of the iPhone 6 and LG G3 at arm's length.

This certainly wasn't a walk in the park for the Galaxy S6, but its supremely sharp and bright QHD display, powerful innards and stunning 16MP rear facing camera really stole the show for us.

It's not cheap, and the battery life is a little iffy - which has prevented it from earning a full five stars - but if you're looking for the best phone to spend your money on look no further.

Of course things could change in the coming months with the LG G4 and Huawei Ascend P8 both tipped to launch very soon - but for now let's all bask in the glow of the Galaxy S6's 5.1-inch Super AMOLED display.
