Round two: OnePlus 2 price revealed

The CEO of OnePlus, Pete Lau, has let slip a number of interesting facts about the upcoming OnePlus Two handset, giving us an idea of how powerful the flagship device will be and how much it will cost.

On Weibo, the Chinese social network, Lau suggested that the OnePlus 2 will come with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 SoC.

This top of the range component certainly has the power to make the OnePlus Two a formidable smartphone, but it has been dogged with persistent overheating and throttling rumours.

Yen and when

According to Lau, we should expect a Snapdragon 810-equipped OnePlus Two to go for something like ¥2499 (around $403, £265, AU$507) - a similarly low price to its predecessor.

He didn't mention any dates, but previous rumours suggest we'll see the OnePlus 2 sometime in the third quarter of 2015.
