We've heard a fair bit about the mighty Samsung Galaxy Tab S2, which is set to be the closest iPad Air 2 competitor yet, but until now we hadn't heard anything about when it might launch.
According to SamMobile we won't have very long to wait for it at all though, with the slate apparently set to be announced in June.
The site doesn't state where it got its information from, so we wouldn't totally count on it being true, but June makes sense as it was in the same month last year that the original Samsung Galaxy Tab S was announced.
Coming to a country near you
We've already heard that the Galaxy Tab S2 will come in both 8.0-inch and 9.7-inch sizes and apparently there will be both Wi-Fi only and Wi-Fi + LTE versions of each, with all models set to be announced at the same time.
It's not clear how soon after the announcement they'll go on sale, but they will supposedly be released worldwide, in markets including Europe, the US, Canada, China, Latin America, Hong Kong, Korea and India.
It should be worth the wait too, as earlier rumours point to a slim design, a metal frame, an octa-core processor and a bright Super AMOLED screen. In other words it could be the slate Android needs to take on Apple.
- If the Galaxy Tab S2 is anything like the Samsung Galaxy S6 it should impress.
