At this point there's little doubt that the Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 8.0 is coming soon. It's been heavily rumoured for some time, and now we can see some photos allegedly showing it.
The pictures were shared by Nowhereelse.fr, which claims to have found them on the site of a Taiwanese certification body. The pictures don't really show us much we didn't already suspect, revealing a device with the same form factor and rounded edges as an earlier leaked render.
But that consistency suggests it's the real deal and the pictures do give us a closer look at the back, which appears to be plastic, suggesting that it might not have had the same premium overhaul as the Samsung Galaxy S6.
Getting certified
That's not the only time the Galaxy Tab S2 8.0 has made an appearance in recent days either, as it's also passed through the FCC. I diagram posted there matches up with these photos.
So while we can't guarantee the authenticity of these pictures we'd say they're likely to be genuine. The fact that the Galaxy Tab S2 8.0 has been caught on camera and passed through various certification agencies also suggests it's close to being launched.
Earlier rumours pointed to a launch in June, which is still a possibility with over two weeks left in the month. Even if the wait is longer it should be worth it: spec rumours include a 2048 x 1536 display, an octa-core processor and 3GB of RAM. This could be a seriously high-end slate.
